A rower turned public health professional turned professional sailor, Sara knows how much seeing women compete can change someone’s life. Watching Team SCA race around the world in the 2014–15 Volvo Ocean Race inspired her to pursue sailing, even though she didn’t yet know how to race a sailboat. In 2018, she changed careers to follow that ambition.

Since then, Sara has become a US Rolex Yachtswoman of the Year finalist, captained the New York Yacht Club American Magic team in the inaugural Women’s America’s Cup, and become the first female navigator to win the TP52 Super Series World Championship. This September, she won The Ocean Race Atlantic, bringing her story full circle to the racing that first inspired her.

Now, Sara wants to help more girls and women see what’s possible for themselves. She brings a love of teamwork, a thoughtful approach to challenges, and a belief that success comes from who you become while working toward your goals. Away from competition, she finds joy in cooking for friends and bringing people together around a table.

She’s also put our Merino Sports Bra through a serious test: eight straight days of transatlantic racing. “It got wet, sweaty, and salty and always dried and never chafed.”

We’re proud to welcome Sara to the Paradis Sport family and support her as she helps the next generation imagine their own path.
