Lauren Puretz is a dedicated gynecologist, elite ultrarunner, and mother of two based in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Balancing a demanding medical career with her passion for trail running, Lauren exemplifies commitment and excellence in all facets of her life.

Originally from Michigan, Lauren's running journey began in high school as cross-training for soccer, eventually leading her to fall in love with the sport. After completing medical school at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and her residency at McLaren General Hospital, she moved to Colorado, where she embraced the trail running community.

Lauren's ultrarunning accolades are impressive. She secured a third-place finish at the 2024 Javelina Jundred, completing the 100-mile race in 15:00:50, marking the ninth-fastest time by a woman on that course. Additionally, she clinched victory at the 2024 World Masters Mountain Running Championship, further establishing her dominance in trail and ultrarunning.

Lauren is a proud member of the Aravaipa Racing Team and is fueled by Precision Hydration and The Feed. In February 2024, Lauren earned a coveted Golden Ticket to the Western States 100 by placing third at the Black Canyon 100K. She also achieved a 13th place finish among women at the 2024 Western States Endurance Run. Her ability to balance a rigorous medical profession, family life, and elite ultra running serves as an inspiration to many. Lauren will return to the Black Canyon 100k for another opportunity at a Golden Ticket. 

Beyond her athletic pursuits, Lauren is a board-certified OB/GYN practicing in Colorado Springs and recently opened her own practice. She is passionate about women's health and is known for her straightforward and candid approach with patients. Paradis Sport is proud to be partnering with Lauren for the opportunity to amplify women's health education to active women everywhere.
